Tito Molina

Tito Molina was born in Portoviejo-Ecuador, in 1969. In 1987 he moved to Quito, the capital, to study graphic design. Between 1990 and 1999 he worked as Creative Director and Art Director in respected advertising agencies. In 2000 he began his studies of film direction at the »Centre d'Estudis Cinematogràfics de Catalunya« in Barcelona-Spain, while he continued his work in advertising. In 2003 he received the Gold Award of Excellence in the RX Club Awards in New York. Between 2004 and 2008 he directed and produced his first documentary film »When Chestnut trees Die« and the short film »The Boy and the Sea«.

Inhalt
A little boy is building a castle of sand at the beach. But again and again it is washed away by the sea. In only two shots this essayistic short film contemplates reality as apparently unlinked facts of hazard. A physical choreography, almost metrical, reveals through the eye of the camera the simplicity of life.
